A tightly woven plain fabric consisting of cotton fibres formed using heavy filling yarns and fewer finer warp yarns giving it a smooth and sculptural finish. Suitable for fashion or furnishing particularly for shirting and bed linen. Bright and fresh colours work well on this fabric whilst dark and intense colours can be difficult to achieve.
